Tamil Nadu's 79th Independence Day will be celebrated with great pomp and ceremony on Friday, August 15th.The Independence Day celebrations on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government will be held with great pomp at Fort St. George, located on Rajaji Road in Chennai.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will hoist the national flag and address the Independence Day celebrations. An Independence Day parade and art show will also be held on Rajaji Road.
Draupadi Murmu at the Republic Day celebrations :-
On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, President Draupathi Murmu will address the nation at 7 pm on August 14. The address will be broadcast live on television and on the All India Radio and Doordarshan channels.
5-layer security in Delhi :-
As the Independence Day parade is scheduled to take place, 1.20 lakh police officers will be deployed in the area and 15,000 police officers in Chennai. There will be five-layer security on Rajaji Road, and only after screening will all those coming to participate in the event be allowed to attend the Independence Day celebrations.
