KV Admission 2026: No Exams or Interviews – Kendriya Vidyalaya Admissions Begin; How to Apply?
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has released an important announcement regarding student admissions for Balvatika (Pre-primary) and Class 1 for the academic year 2026-27. Online registration for these admissions commenced today (March 20).
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has stated that there will be no entrance exams, written tests, or interviews for student admissions. Eligible candidates will be selected entirely through a lottery system.

**Selection via Lottery System**
No examinations will be conducted for children seeking admission to Balvatika and Class 1. The entire admission process will be conducted transparently, strictly through a lottery system. Once the list of selected students is published, parents must submit the necessary documents and pay the admission fees to confirm their children's seats.
**Age Limit**
In accordance with the regulations of the New National Education Policy (NEP), the age limits for students—calculated as of March 31, 2026—have been established as follows:
Balvatika-1: Must have completed 3 years of age (must be under 4 years of age)
Balvatika-2: Must have completed 4 years of age (must be under 5 years of age)
Balvatika-3: Must have completed 5 years of age (must be under 6 years of age)
Class 1: Must be between 6 and 8 years of age

Passport-sized Photograph
Proof of Residence
Caste Certificate
EWS (Economically Weaker Sections) or BPL (Below Poverty Line) Certificate

Click on the link titled "Balvatika & Class 1 Admission 2026-27" located on the homepage.
Register using your mobile number and email address, and then log in.
Fill out the application form with the child's details accurately, and scan and upload the required documents.
Finally, submit the application and take a printout for future reference.
